Hooverarium Classes
Our reptile classes offer kids and teens a unique opportunity to learn about amazing animals through hands-on, age-appropriate education. Designed for ages 4 and up, each class focuses on a specific species and covers anatomy, natural habitat, behavior, conservation, and responsible care. Students observe and interact with rescued reptiles in a calm, structured environment that emphasizes respect for animals and safety for participants.
Classes are typically 60 minutes long and are offered as single sessions or as multi-week series that allow students to explore one animal in greater depth. Group sizes are intentionally kept small and adjusted by age to ensure meaningful engagement and safe interaction. Whether hosted at our rescue, in classrooms, or at community programs, all classes are led by experienced educators who are passionate about reptiles and committed to creating positive, memorable learning experiences for kids and families.

Hooverarium’s reptile birthday parties and special events bring the excitement of the animal world right to you! Perfect for birthdays, homeschool , and community gatherings, our interactive programs introduce kids to a variety of friendly reptiles through engaging stories, fun facts, and supervised animal encounters. Each event is designed to spark curiosity, encourage respect for animals, and create unforgettable memories for participants of all ages. Photo opportunities at every event!
Our parties and events are structured to be both entertaining and educational, with animal selections and interaction levels tailored to the ages of participants. Surrenders, Rescues & Adoptions
Hooverarium provides a safe haven for reptiles that can no longer be cared for by their owners. We accept surrenders, no questions asked. We understand how people’s circumstances can change quickly and how difficult it can be to find options quickly for pets that aren’t fluffy dogs and cats. We evaluate each intake for health & personality to determine requirements for their new home. Then rehabilitate if needed, and responsibly rehome animals while prioritizing their health, comfort, and long-term well being. Through education and careful adoption matching, we help ensure every animal finds a knowledgeable, prepared forever home.
